Poe Spring is located in High
Spring. Its the first spring you come across if you were on your way to Ginnie.
Poe, Blue and then Ginnie. This one I believe is county
owned.
This place would make a great place to just
relax and Bar-B-Q. There's no camping unfortunately unless your a Cub Scout.
Unfortunately When I went High Spring was
getting a lot of rain so the Santa Fe was high and backing up into the spring.
The water had a slight red tint to it.
There is also a small convention center and a
boat ramp.
That didn't stop me from diving and it was
still very visible.
To get to the springs you walk down the long boardwalk that stretches
through the woods
Lots of places to picnic. The squirrels are not even bad. Plenty
of shade but if you should get hot that spring will cool you down!
There's a small sandy beach in front of the spring. The branches
from the trees hang over the spring
You can see the red tint from the Santa Fe water. It really
wasn't that bad. Lot of turtles hang out here.
