| This is a real nice place to stay but in the
winter time you'll be lucky to get in. First come first serve,
no reservations! Not only do you have the " Snowbirds
" but the Canadians have found this place as well. Half the
plates were from Canada.
Believe it or not we went swimming in the Summer time and
there was no one in the camping area, everyone was swimming. |

|
| Lithia Springs discharges into the Alafia River.
There are actually 2 Springs. Lithia Major and Minor. Most of
the water in the pool area is at max 3 maybe 4 feet deep. The
water around the Spring area is around 10 feet deep. Now here is
the bummer, there is a cage across the top of the Spring hole.
Leave the snorkel gear at home. Once a day they have everyone
get out of the pool to make sure no one has drowned. |

|
| There is a trail that goes around the park you
can get to the river. There is a grocery store a mile down the
main road.
There are campsite along the river I believe 40 was the best.
Some have a lot of woods between you and your neighbor and some
make it real easy to get to know your neighbor. All and all its
a nice place to relax in Tampa! |

The week we went it rained a lot. The swimming
area is like a beach. |

I counted 5 ducks and they were there all the
time. |

It took me awhile to figure it out but this is
Lithia Minor its not as big as where you swim. ( Major ) |

|
| This was the campsite. The hammock was a great
cradle for the baby. |

 |
Small dock by the swimming area where you can put
a canoe in. |

The left picture is the water coming out of
Lithia into the Alafia river. The right picture is spring water
around the trees next to the Alafia river. |

|
| I zoomed my camera into this sandboil that had a
fish swimming over it. I thought it was cool! |
